  • Mahalo. I would love to share some of my mana'o (thoughts) with you about our culture. I would love to learn about yours. I am of Cherokee ancestry besides Hawaiian, English, Scotch, Irish, German and Spanish. We call that hapa (half breed). But hapa also means half wild, like hapalaka (not tame). That is what the paniolo (cowboys) called a horse not broken yet. The hawaiians learned from the indians and mexicans how to rope and ride. My dad was a paniolo and worked for Parker Ranch. Anyway, take care and God bless.

  • Aloha e and Wado Augustine;
    Exactly where is Bernalillo? It says you come from the land where blood and tears were shed. Would this be the trail of tears? My ancestors were Cherokee, I found this out a couple of years back from my kumu (teacher). That is about all I know. I know that my guardian spirit is the wolf and I am facinated with the dreamcatchers. My home is full of wolves and I have several dreamcatchers. I love the smell of sage and sweetgrass. Anyway welcome to Maoliworld. Take care and God bless
